The Friends of the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center will have their annual meeting on Thursday, November 19 at 7 p.m. in the Culver City School District Board Room, 4034 Irving Place.
The featured speaker will be Stephanie Stillings, Project Manager at the Venice Family Clinic, who will talk about the new Venice Family Clinic Lou Colen Health and Wellness Center. The Center will provide high quality pediatric care for babies, children and teens in the Mar Vista area located next to Culver City.
This area is home to thousands of low income children who have little or no access to affordable health care. The unique facility will provide medical, dental, vision, and mental health services. In addition, cooking classes, homework help, obesity prevention, and more will be available. The Venice Family Clinic operates the Culver City Sandy Segal Youth Health Center along with many other facilities throughout the Westside.
After the program Ms. Stillings will install the new Board Members of the Friends of the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center. Current president Dr. Sarah Carpenter will once again lead the Board which includes Diana Hauptman-President Emeritus, Sue Mitchell, Sandy Segal RN, Suzanne Wood, Michele Hindler, Bella Kopulsky RD, Pat Levinson, Joyce Perlick, and Jessica Beagles-Roos PhD.
Everyone is welcome to attend this special meeting. Refreshments will be served after the installation.
