The USC Trojans will jump right back into the fire this Saturday when they take on the No. 3 team in the country, Utah in the Coliseum at 4:30 p.m. The game will be televised on Fox Sports.

Last Saturday they lost to 11th ranked Norte Dame, 41-31. After losing their head coach a few weeks ago things don’t get any easier for the Trojans.

Utah is led by running back Denvontae Booker and quarterback Travis Wilson on offense and linebackers Gionni Paul and Jared Norris on defense. Booker is averaging 130.5 yards rushing per game and Wilson has thrown for seven touchdowns.

If the 3-3 Trojans expect to upset 6-0 Utah their defense must stop Booker and keep them under 25 points. The USC offense can score but the defense is having trouble stopping good teams. The defensive line is really having problems this year. If they can stop the run and put pressure on Wilson the Trojans can win the game.

The Trojans’ offense is averaging 38.2 points per game. It’s obvious they can score. Quarterback Cody Kessler, running backs Tre Madden, Justin Davis and Ronald Jones and receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Adoree’ Jackson know how to score points. USC’s offensive line has also played well this year.

On defense the Trojans will rely on linebackers Su’a Cravens, Cameron Smith and defensive backs Kevon Seymour, Chris Hawkins, Iman Marshall and Jackson. On special teams Jackson is one of the most electrifying players in the nation. Every time he gets his hands on the ball on punt returns or kickoff returns he is a threat to go all the way.
