The NBA has released its 2015 preseason schedule that tips off on Friday, Oct. 2 and features three top international teams – Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul, Maccabi Haifa, and Paschoalotto/Bauru – traveling to the U.S. for six games against six NBA teams.
Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul, a six-time Turkish League champion, will be the first international team to play in the U.S. this preseason, taking on the Brooklyn Nets on Oct. 5 at Barclays Center before meeting the Oklahoma City Thunder on Oct. 9 at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
Maccabi Haifa, an Israeli club facing NBA teams in the U.S. for the fifth time in six years, begins its trip against the Memphis Grizzlies on Oct. 8 at FedExForum, followed by a game against the Lakers on Oct. 11 at Staples Center.
Paschoalotto/Bauru, which competes in Brazil’s premier basketball league, will play the New York Knicks on Oct. 7 at Madison Square Garden and the Washington Wizards on Oct. 11 at Verizon Center.
The preseason schedule is also highlighted by two nationally televised games each for TNT and ESPN, with three of those four games involving the defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors.
TNT will air Golden State’s matchup against the Houston Rockets at Oracle Arena on Oct. 15 (7 p.m. LA time) and the Warriors’ game against the Lakers at the Honda Center in Anaheim on Oct. 22 (7 p.m. LA time). ESPN will televise a meeting between the Warriors and Clippers on Oct. 20 at Staples Center (7:30 p.m. LA time), in addition to a game between the Wizards and Miami Heat on Oct. 21 at AmericanAirlines Arena (5 p.m.LA time). NBA TV will televise the Global Games while additional televised games on the network will be announced at a later date.
The NBA preseason begins on Friday, Oct. 2, when the Denver Nuggets play the Clippers at Staples Center. The 2015-16 regular seasons tips off on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
