The newly elected Board of Directors of the Culver City Woman’s Club met recently to discuss plans for the upcoming year, which include events to fund the club’s philanthropies. The club awards scholarships to Culver City High students annually.
Other recipients include the Culver Palms YMCA, Meals on Wheels and the Bob Hope USO at LAX. Among the fundraisers will be the popular Ice Cream Social and the traditional Christmas Wrapping Booth at the Westside Pavilion.
The club also sponsors a number of social events throughout the year. Of special interest is a fashion show at Talbots in Manhattan Beach. The members model beautiful clothes to help get you ready for the winter. The date is November 21 and the cost is $20. There will be lots of door prizes.
In December there will be a bus trip to Robinson Gardens which will be decorated for the holiday season.
The public is invited at all events sponsored by the club. For more information contact Carole Kanter at (310) 453-2314.
