Celebrate Juneteenth 2015 With Mayme Clayton Library And Museum
Join MCLM's Volunteers for a Juneteenth Celebration of the 150th Anniversary of Emancipation with a special display of African American "Quilt Exhibit," presented in association with the African American Quilters of Los Angeles.
Activities On Saturday, June 13th 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM
o View Quilts by members of the African American Quilters of Los Angeles
o Hands on opportunity to "Make and Take" your own quilt block
o Screening of film "Quiltmakers of Gee's Bend," presented at 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM
o Display of slave documents and artifacts from the museum's collection
Activities on Sunday, June 14th - 3 pm to 5
Program includes
