Fiesta La Ballona, Culver City’s “Party In The Park” will be held August 28-30 at Veterans Park. The popular Culver City event features live music, food trucks and a variety of food concessions, a beer and wine garden, carnival rides, artisan wares, and many family-oriented attractions for all ages.
Veterans Park is located at 4117 Overland Avenue in Culver City. Admission and parking are free.
Last year Fiesta attracted 30,000 visitors over the course of the weekend. Fiesta attendees enjoy family-friendly activities, an extensive showcase of local organizations, a weekend dance party, roving performers, and diverse dining choices. Fiesta promotes recycling and makes conscious environmental choices by being a zero waste event.
Fiesta La Ballona began as a weeklong celebration of the region’s early settlers and has evolved into a three-day festival that kicks off the afternoon of Friday, August 28 and closes down Sunday night, August 30.
Fiesta is named after the La Ballona Creek, an 8.8-mile waterway that flows through Culver City. Fiesta hours are 4:30 pm to 10 pm (carnival rides start at 6 pm) on Friday, August 28; 11 am to 10 pm on Saturday, August 29; and 11am to 9 pm on Sunday, August 30.
The City of Culver City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department and the Fiesta La Ballona Committee organize and produce Fiesta with the support from scores of volunteers.
