The Lakers will hold "Camp Lakers 2015," presented by Denny's, a youth basketball day camp for boys and girls ages 9-18, this summer in two sessions.
Hosted at Next Level Sports Complex in Garden Grove for the third consecutive year, session one will occur from June 29 to July 2 and session two from July 6 to 9.
Camp Lakers is structured and focused on providing young athletes of all skill levels an opportunity to improve their overall basketball skills in a fun and challenging environment, while stressing the importance of determination, teamwork and sportsmanship. Each summer, current and former Lakers players and coaches have made guest appearances, assisting with the on-court world-class teaching of the campers.
"We look forward to Camp Lakers and the chance it provides young basketball players to improve both their skills and their understanding of the game," said Director of Camps Jordan Wilkes. "Our experienced coaching staff is committed to making camp a positive and memorable experience for every camper."
The price of enrollment per session is $350, which includes lunch provided daily to each camper. Net proceeds from the camps are used by the Lakers for charitable purposes. Denny's, the proud presenting sponsor of Camp Lakers, will also send each camper home with a gift.
Approximately 9,500 campers have attended Camp Lakers over the past 15 years, and the camps have sold out every year. It is anticipated that this year's camp will sell out by late May.
