The Culver City Cultural Affairs Foundation will present architectureTALKS, a series of three architecture talks presented by internationally renowned practitioners based in Culver City.
This series will take place in different locations throughout the city. The proceeds will benefit the technical enhancement of Veterans Memorial Building’s Auditorium with the intent of increasing public performances and film screenings in that venue.
The series will begin on January 25 with a conversation with award-winning architect Zoltan E. Pali, FAIA, founder and design principal of Studio Pali Fekete architects [SPF:a] located on Washington Boulevard in the Culver City Arts District. It will be held at 8609 W. Washington Blvd. from 2 pm to 4.
Moderated by architectural writer Thomas Aujero Small, Pali will discuss his work on creating the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills.
The recently completed and much celebrated “Wallis” transformed a classical Spanish Mission Revival Post Office with the addition of a stunningly modern, state-of-the-art concert hall and performance space.
A reception catered by Akasha with wine and hors d’oeuvres will follow the conversation with Zoltan E. Pali, FAIA.
The cost is $40. Admission is 100% tax deductible with proceeds to benefit the technical enhancement of Veterans Memorial Building’s
Auditorium.
