UCLA Basketball Wins First Three Games

UCLA has begun its 2014-15 basketball season by winning its first three games.

The first two are officially exhibition games. The Bruins defeated Montana State, 113-78 and Coastal Carolina, 84-71. They began the regular season by defeating Nicholls State, 107-74. Point guard Bryce Alford, son of Coach Steve Alford, scored 28 points and had 13 assists.

Freshman Kevin Looney has had double figure scoring and rebounding in two of the games.

Coach Alford, in his second season at UCLA, has asked his team to play at a fast pace.

Connecticut is the defending national champion. Kentucky is currently rated No. 1.
