Woman's Club Heads To Mission Inn

The upcoming trip to the Mission Inn is the highlight of a number of activities in December celebrating the holiday season sponsored by the Culver City Woman’s Club.

The trip, which is open to the public, will take place on Friday, December 5. The itinerary will include a tour of the elaborately decorated hotel and grounds, a buffet lunch in an elegant private dining room and time for shopping in the quaint shops that line the mall adjacent to the Inn.

The coach will leave at 7:30 am from the parking lot of the Culver Palms Methodist Church, 4464 Sepulveda Blvd., Culver City. The cost is $65 per person.

To continue in the celebration of the holidays the Club will distribute gifts and monetary gifts to needy families and seniors in Culver City. The members also participate in the Spark of Love program by donating toys that are distributed to children by the Culver City Fire Department.

The public is also invited to the annual Christmas luncheon at the Cheesecake Factory at the Grove at Farmers Market in Los Angeles on Monday, December 15. Santa has been known to visit the guests at previous luncheons.

The final holiday activity is the Christmas Wrapping Booth at the Westside Pavilion Mall from December 19 through 24. Proceeds from the booth help fund the club’s philanthropic activities including scholarships for Culver City High School students and camp scholarships for the YMCA.

Interested persons may contact Pat Harmon at 310-670-2990 for information concerning any of the activities.
