La Ballona Elementary School is celebrating its sixth annual Fall Festival on Saturday, November 1 from 11am to 4pm.
”Join us and support our school,” welcomes La Ballona Booster Club Co-President, Catalina Pop. “Enjoy delicious food, fun games, entertainment and raffles.”
The event also features a Dia De Los Muertos theme. “It’s a one-of-a-kind Fall Festival that celebrates the popular Mexican tradition,” says La Ballona Booster Club Co-President Joy Kecken.
The activities will be located outside on the main playground, at the back entrance of the 10915 Washington Boulevard location. Families, friends and community members are welcome. The event is free to attend.
The costs are $20 for 25 tickets (used for games and food) and $10 wristband for all day use of the inflatables. Tickets can also be bought on the day of the Festival for $1 each and the all-day inflatable pass for $15.
For the kids the Festival will feature The Exploratory, a Culver City innovative learning design lab for children, providing a maker station on site. We will also have a mini-train ride, two huge climb and slide inflatables, a bounce house for toddlers, food booths, a bake sale, and over 20 carnival-like games and activities. Some of the highlights are arts and crafts, big bubble wands, crazy hair, paint-a-pumpkin, face painting, a selfie booth, soccer goal-kick, water balloon toss…. and many more. Catalina Pop encourages you to “be one of the first 25 people dressed in the `Day of the Dead’ theme and you’ll receive a Yogurtland gift certificate.”
In addition there will be community tables where Culver City residents can meet the Mayor and School Board members.
