IndieCade 2014 Begins This Weekend

The latest innovative indie games of 2014 will be available to inspect this weekend in Culver City......

IndieCade, the International Festival of Independent Games, returns to downtown Culver City this Friday through Sunday.

Activities include a professional conference, a student conference, a Night Games extravaganza, exhibitors, artists' talks, developer panels, networking opportunities and of course one of a kind game play.

IndieCade Village is packed with exhibitors. More than 50 sponsored selections from partners such as PlayStation, Nintendo, Oculus VR, Facebook, Ouya, and more will be available for hands on gameplay.

Many of these games are on display at IndieCade well before they will be released to the greater public.

In addition to the games there is a chance to sample and speak with the creators of forward thinking Virtual Reality, alternative controllers, and motion capture. Discover these technologies at the VR Zone. Leap Motion, Perception Neuron, as well as opportunities to talk to some of leading tool makers like Unreal Engine.

IndieCade's annual beer garden party takes place on Friday. Socialize, entertainment, and try out the games created earlier that day for the party.

Night Games are a unique and memorable annual event at IndieCade. Saturday, starting at 7 pm the IndieCade village transforms as people play specially curated games under the stars and experience and a memorable festival highlight. The votes are tallied.

The IndieCade Village will have final gameplay at the closing awards on Sunday at 5 pm for announcements for the Festival Audience, Developer, and Media Choice Awards.
