Chatelain will serve a two-year volunteer term and will be responsible for overseeing the membership’s growth and direction.
“I hope to build a strong sense of fun, as much as a strong sense of support, among members,” said Chatelain. The Fringe, which is over 100 members strong, holds special events tied to Center Theatre Group productions and allows cast members and like-minded theatre lovers to interact with each other.
“The fact that as a diverse group, we gather and share a common bond over a live production, helps emphasize what going to the theatre is all about. It encourages me, and hopefully other members, to continue to support the arts, and to get involved in any possible way,” added Chatelain.
Chatelain has been involved with Center Theatre Group since The Fringe was created in 2010. In 2012, he served as a board member and later became the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the program. Professionally Chatelain has worked for Modern Management Consultants, an outsourcing firm that caters to small and mid-size businesses since 2009. Prior to this position, he worked at The J. Paul Getty Trust and provided finance and accounting support to the trust’s four major programs.
Center Theatre Group, a non-profit organization, is one of the largest and most active theatre companies in the nation, programming subscription seasons year-round at the 736-seat Mark Taper Forum and the 1,600 to 2,000-seat Ahmanson Theatre at the Music Center of Los Angeles, and the 317-seat Kirk Douglas Theatre.
