With childhood obesity at an all time high and kids more attracted to sedentary activities like video games than ever before The Culver-Palms and Westchester Family YMCAs are celebrating Healthy Kids Day® on Saturday and Sunday April 26 & 27 in the Center Courtyard at Westfield Culver City.
Healthy Kids Day® is the largest national health day for children in the United States. Some of you have participated in the past and some of you may be hearing about this event for the first time. You can be a part of this major event and join as a sponsor.
Through Healthy Kids Day®, the Y challenges families to build a Happier, Healthier Kid. Children gain body mass index (BMI) nearly twice as fast during the summer as during the school year. Since the Y has the reach, expertise and resources to address critical gaps in health and education that occur in summer, the Y offers a great opportunity to make playing and learning a family goal during the crucial summer months.
Healthy Kids Day® is promoted nationally and locally as a free community event to help families have fun through active play and educational opportunities.
Westfield Culver City and the Y will work together to promote the event through all available media channels. Your early agreement to participate will ensure your business' name in promotional materials through Westfield and through the Culver-Palms and Westchester Family YMCAs, including e-marketing, local advertising, name and logo recognition alongside the Y in Center Courtyard on posters and/or banners, and an opportunity to be featured on the event t-shirt.
There are various ways to participate including, monetary sponsorships and in-kind donation of goods or give-a-ways
For more information or to make a donation contact the CULVER-PALMS FAMILY YMCA located at 4500 Sepulveda Blvd. in Culver City. They can be reached by phone at (310) 754 4973
