Here Comes Purim, Passover

Culver City’s rabbi Yossi Grossman and wife Sara of Chabad in Culver City wish you a happy Purim and Passover.

PURIM:

Havdalah, Hamantashen and Megilah reading.

Children's Program: Pocket Pet Purim Party: 10AM-noon.

Meet and Pet small cuddly animals - Come Dressed up - Purim Sing-along – Hamantashen - Purim Crafts - $10 per child

Adult Program:

Sunday Eve 5:30PM: Megillah reading followed by Purim Dinner Buffet.

PURIM observances:

1) Reading of the Megillah (Book of Esther) - the story of the Purim miracle.

2) Giving Charity to the needy.

3) Sharing gifts of food to friends.

4) Enjoying a Purim meal.

Customs include dressing up in disguising costumes and the traditional Purim food, the hamantash cookie.

Trip to the MATZAH FACTORY:

Sunday morning, April 6.

Cost: $5 per child with advance reservation - group rate (RSVP: sara@ganwest.com )

Students of all ages will enjoy interactive, hands-on learning that makes the festival of Passover meaningful. Visitors travel back through time for a child-friendly re-enactment of the events of the Exodus. The group goes on to roll and bake their own Matzah.

PASSOVER SEDER: Monday night, April 14.
