On January 28 the Culver City School Board awarded certificates to students who created art based on the theme Believe, Dream, Inspire.
The art competition is sponsored by the National PTA. Students were judged at each school then the first place winners in each category were judged again at the Culver City Council level and the first place winners at Council were judged at the 33rd District PTA level.

Primary Visual Arts – Mingus Schoffman, La Ballona Elementary
Intermediate Visual Arts- Lysander Pop, La Ballona Elementary
Middle School Literature – Maryam Nawaz, Culver City Middle School
Middle School Visual Arts - Isabella Bustanoby, Culver City Middle School
Middle School Photography –Evan Pearson, Culver City Middle School
Middle School Film Production - Matthew Johannesen, Culver City Middle School
high school Photography - Hannah Berkovich, Culver City High School
high school Visual Arts - Rachel Tucker, Culver City High School
high school Musical Composition – Patrick Gardner, Culver City High School
high school Film Production – Justin Terry, Culver City High School
In addition, the following students have been recognized by the 33rd District. Artwork that placed first will be sent to the CA State PTA in Sacramento for the next round of judging. They will be recognized at the Reflections Recognition & Reception Tea along with the 2nd and 3rd place entries.
