Crime Blotter for December 3 through December 9.

Residential Burglary:

On December 4 at 3:15 pm, officers responded to the 4100 block of Commonwealth Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; the victim said she locked and secured her residence at 8:15 am and returned at 2:40 pm. When she unlocked the front door she saw that her house had been ransacked and her property missing.

Car Burglary:

On December 6 at 11:55 am, a victim called the police department to report her 2011 Volkswagen had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her car in the 6500 block of Green Valley Circle on December 4 at 9:30 pm. When she returned the next day at 11:45 am, she discovered her back passenger window had been damaged and her property missing.

Commercial Robbery:

On December 5 at 8:29 pm, officers responded to the 10800 block of Venice Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers me with the victim who told them the following; he was working behind the counter of his business when two suspects entered the location. Suspect 1 asked for a pack of cigarettes and when he turned around to get the items the suspect produced a handgun and demanded his property. Suspect 2 also asked the victim about his cell phone and both suspects then fled the location. The suspects were described a two male Blacks, 20-23 years of age, suspect1 was 6’0, thin build, short dark hair, and wearing a black hooded sweat shirt. Suspect 2 was 5’11, stocky build, short dark hair, and wearing a black hooded sweat shirt.

Car Burglary:

On December 5 at 10; 26 pm, officers responded to the 3800 block of Culver Center Drive regarding a car burglary. The officers met the victim who told them the following; he had parked and locked his 2005 Scion, when he returned at 10:20 pm, he saw a male Hispanic standing next to his vehicle and then use an unknown type object to shatter the passenger side window. The suspect then reached into the vehicle and removes his property. The suspects then got into a vehicle and flee the location.

Vandalism:

On December 9 at 7:30 am, a victim called the police department to report her 2012 Jeep had been vandalized. The victim said she parked and locked her vehicle in the 5600 block of Sumner Way on December 8 at 6:30 pm, when she returned the next morning she discovered unknown suspect(s) had shattered two windows on her Jeep.
