CCEF Inside Out Event Brings Out the Band & the Cheer

The Culver City Education Foundation (CCEF) held its first ever Inside Out event on November 22. CCEF officers and CCUSD administrators were on hand to provide information about CCEF's achievements.

But the event really kicked into high gear when a flash mob of high school students came out to show their appreciation for the programs, equipment and opportunities CCEF has been making possible for them throughout their school years.

The CCHS cheer team and marching band proceeded to welcome their fellow students to school, first at Culver City High, then at CC Middle, finishing up at Farragut Elementary.

When CCEF President Marci Shulman asked one Farragut student who was dancing with the cheerleaders whether that was a good way to start a Friday, the little girl exclaimed, "This is the best day ever."

CCUSD Superintendent Dave La Rose reminded everyone of the inestimable contributions CCEF makes to the education of every student at every CCUSD school. He noted that what is often called "donating" to CCEF, is really "investing" in our students.

CCEF thanks all of the student participants for their energy, enthusiasm and display of talents. They inspire us in our work, and repeatedly prove that they are more than worth every hour and every dollar we can invest in their future.

CCEF has been investing in CCUSD students for more than 30 years, and with the support of community members will continue those investments for countless decades to come.
