Councilman Jim Clarke announces two early endorsements for his re-election to a seat on the Culver City City Council next year.
State Senator Holly Mitchell, who represents the 26th district enthusiastically supports Jim's candidacy. Ms. Mitchell has had a successful working relationship with Jim while serving as our State Assemblyperson in the past, and currently as our State Senator.
She looks forward to continuing this relationship when he is re-elected.
Karen Bass has also stated her support for Jim's re-election and is pleased that he can have four more years to make a difference in Culver City. Congresswoman Bass served in the California Assembly from 2004 to 2010 and was Speaker from 2008-2010 before her election to the U.S. House of Representatives.
Clarke won a seat on the council in 2012 when, for the first time, voters elected four candidates to the City Council. Since he filled the unexpired term of a councilmember who resigned his position, Jim is up for election again after only two years.
The theme for his last campaign was "Listening to your concerns, responding to your needs." For the 2014 campaign the theme is "Following Through."
