Sebastian Ridley-Thomas announces that Jeannine Wisnosky Stehlin, president of United Parents of Culver City and Madeline Ehrlich, former president of the Culver City Board of Education have endorsed him in his campaign for the 54th Assembly District.
Sebastian Ridley-Thomas said, "I'm honored to have the support and endorsement of two hugely committed Culver City leaders that are dedicated to the achievement of education excellence and determined to secure for our young people a promising future where they can succeed and make positive contributions to their communities."
"Madeline Ehrilich keenly knows the challenges our schools face; even prized schools like those in the Culver City Unified School District. As the former President of the Culver City School Board, Madeline knows all too well that leadership in our State Capitol and a commitment to fully funding our schools is key to maintaining and sustaining quality education for your children and youth," he said.
"As President of United Parents of Culver City, Jeannine Wisnosky Stehlin knows that quality education for our young people means that parents must have a seat at the public policy table. Parents must be involved when educational decisions are that impact our children's future. Jeannine and United Parents of Culver City have shown that when parents are fully engaged in the political process, positive change in education is not far behind," Mr. Ridley-Thomas said.
"I look forward to working closely with Madeline and Jeannine on education policy and funding issues when I'm elected to represent the people of the 54th Assembly District on Tuesday, December 3rd," he added.
In addition, Ridley-Thomas announced that state Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom, the USC College Democrats have joined hands with their cross-town rivals, the UCLA College Democrats, to endorse him in his campaign for the 54th Assembly District.
