Dear Editor

Dear Editor:

The upcoming School Board election presents an opportunity for our community to elect someone who is truly invested in our children’s future: Sue Robins.

Sue is an amazing educator, as evidenced by her work as a CCMS Science teacher. Her tireless preparation and attention to detail enabled her to deliver curriculum to students that was challenging, interesting, and relevant.

Sue created an educational environment where students with a range of abilities thrived. As a reflection of Sue’s outstanding work, she was twice awarded “Teacher of the Month.”

Sue has also worked as a volunteer in our schools. For example, she served as co-President of the Farragut PTA for two years. Among her many accomplishments at Farragut, Sue was instrumental in expanding the Halloween Carnival into a larger community event-- the Fall Festival.

Farragut celebrated its 12th annual Fall Festival this year, working with the team to replace asphalt with a grass soccer field at Farragut and opening the gate to the Julian Dixon library to create a safe, parent monitored student drop off site.

Sue owns a business in Culver City, which specializes in curriculum development and employee training. She is a member of the Culver City Chamber of Commerce, where she also serves as the Chair of the Education Committee. As chair of the Education Committee, Sue developed the AVID speaker’s bureau and recruited 25 business community members to participate in the eighth grade exit interviews at the middle school.

The word that comes to mind when describing Sue is “excellence.” As a member of the School Board, Sue will bring that standard of excellence to the issues that must be addressed in running CCUSD.

Sue has a demonstrated commitment to the students and families of our community, which is why she is running for School Board. Sue is a master educator, accomplished businesswoman, and skilled administrator who has been serving our community for many years.

Please join us in voting for Sue Robins for School Board.

Thank you.

Richard Caines and Stephanie O’Neal
