Do you have broken or non-working items around your house that deserve a second chance at being useful before being discarded?
Culver-Palms United Methodist Church is hosting a "repair café" on Saturday, October 26 from 12:30 pm to 4:30. Volunteers from Our Time Bank, a community organization that promotes people working together for sustainability, will be there to help give new life to your broken small appliances, electronics, computers, clothing, bicycles and more.
The knowledgeable workers will have repair supplies on hand to try to resurrect your items before they end up in a landfill.
The organization requests that anyone bringing in items for repair contribute either a donation of $3 to $5 to cover the cost of materials or a potluck dish to feed eight people.
