Culver Women’s Club to Tour Lotusland

The public is invited to join the Culver City Woman’s Club for a trip to Lotusland in Montecito on Wednesday, October 9.

The well-known Polish opera singer and socialite, Madame Ganna Walska, purchased the estate in 1941 and spent the next 43 years creating a magnificent botanical garden.

The docent-led tour of approximately 1-1/2 hours will cover highlights of the 35-acre wonderland of various gardens featuring ferns, lotuses, cycads and also a charming butterfly garden.

The coach will leave at 9:30 am and will return at approximately 5:30 pm. The pick-up location will be announced.

The cost of the trip is $68 and includes admission and tour of the gardens, lunch at the Summerland Beach Café, transportation and tax and tips.

Founded in 1920, the Culver City Woman’s Club actively participates in local social and cultural events. Its philanthropies include Meals on Wheels, the USO (LAX) and Foster Care for Children.

For information and reservations contact Tara Foster at (310) 689-6474 or (310) 568-1101. Reservations must be received by October 4.
