Library To Have September Events

Library To Have September Events

On Tuesday, September 3 it will be the Back to School Story Time with special guest reader Audrey Stephens, Director of the Office of Child Development for the Culver City Unified School District. Join her as she reads Pete the Cat and his Four Groovy Buttons at 7 pm in the Community Room at the Culver City Julian Dixon Library.

Saturday, September 21 will be the final book sale of the year. This will be a huge sale with a collection of gently used books, coffee table books, comic books and audio visual materials. The sale will run from 9 am to 3 pm at the library. Volunteers are welcome to help set up at 7:30 and pack up starting at 1:30 pm.

Those of you who attended the library’sour tea tasting a couple of years ago won't want to miss a special event on Saturday, September 28 at 11 am. The library is bringing back Senior Manager of Tea and Master Tea Blender for Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, David De Candia.

He has written a book for children, entitled Master Davey and the Magic Tea House: Legend of the Blue Tiger. He will be reading his book, doing a tea tasting of his new special blend to complement the book, and imparting more tea tips for audiences of all ages.
