Service Planed for Former Watson Aide
Services are planned for early next week for Lois Hill Hale, longtime aide to former Culver City Congresswoman Diane Watson.
Hale died on August 8 at the age of 78 from an apparent heart attack.
She served as the District Press Secretary to Watson from 2001-2010 and had an extraordinary professional career. She was a publisher and co-owner of The Scoop Newspaper, one of the earliest Urban Lifestyle publications in Los Angeles. She influenced education policy as a two-term past President and Board of Education Director for the Inglewood Unified School District.
Lois Hill Hale, was also President & Chief Executive Officer for LOIS HILL HALE & ASSOCIATES.....and an educator, community leader, and public relations consultant with a long standing reputation in the community. Hill-Hale had over 20 years experience within the Los Angeles Educational System and 10 years in the Communications Field.
Hailing from Ypsilanti, Michigan, she received a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Los Angeles and a life-time teaching credential from the California State Department of Education.
Public viewing will be held onMonday, August 19 at Inglewood Mortuary, 3801 W. Manchester Blvd.Inglewood from 4 pm until 8.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 20 at the First African Methodist Episcopal Church3370 S. Harvard Blvd., Los Angeles at 10 am.
