July 30 through August 5

Residential Burglary:

On July 31 at 9:56 am officers responded to the 5200 block of Purdue Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; She left her residence locked and secured at 8:25 am. Her daughter’s boyfriend returned at 9:25 am and discovered the rear sliding door opened and the residence had been ransacked.

Vandalism:

On July 31 at 9:40 pm a victim called the police department to report her 2003 Ford had been vandalized. The victim said she parked and locked her car in the 6400 block of Warner Drive at 8 pm. When she returned at 9:30 pm she discovered her front passenger window had been smashed out.

Residential Burglary:

On August 3 at 5:48 pm officers responded to the 4300 block of Keystone Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following: The victim said she closed her garage door at 10 am and when she returned a few hours later discovered the side door open and when she checked the interior noticed her daughter’s bicycle missing.

Theft:

On August 3 at 8:50 pm a victim called the police department to report a theft from her business. The reporting party said a customer came into the business located in the 3800 block of Overland Avenue and requested to look at an item for purchase. The r/p retrieved the item and brought it back to the counter. The suspect said it was not the right item, the r/p went back to get the correct item. When the r/p returned she discovered the suspect had taken the item and fled the location.

Stolen Vehicle:

On August 5 at 7:50 am officers responded to the 6300 block of Green Valley Circle regarding a stolen vehicle investigation. The officers met with the victim who them the following: she said her husband had parked and locked his 2007 Yamaha motorcycle on August 1 at 9 pm. When he returned on August 5 at 7:30 am his motorcycle was missing.
