King Fahad Mosque Honored By Culver Exchange Club
The Exchange Club of Culver City, which puts on the annual Culver City Fireworks Show at Culver City High with the sponsorship and support of the City of Culver City and the Culver City Unified School District, recently presented the King Fahad Mosque in Culver City with an award for the Mosque’s outstanding contributions of major prizes for the past several years to the raffle which is an integral part of that annual fundraising event.
Riyaz Kadri, Rauf Patel, and Mohammed Khan accepted the award on behalf of the King Fahad Mosque and expressed the Mosque’s continuing appreciation for the annual fireworks show and other events, including the annual George Barris Culver City car show, which are used by the Exchange Club to raise funds for local charities and for the prevention of child abuse.
The Exchange Club, which is the Culver City chapter of the National Exchange Club, America’s Service Club, uses the proceeds from the 4th of July Raffle and its other fundraising events to support the CCHS Youth Health Center, the Culver City Education Foundation, the Culver-Palms YMCA, and numerous other local charities and organizations, as well as providing scholarships to Culver City High School seniors.
