Culver's Boulevard Music Summer Festival Begins
Summer breezes… an intimate courtyard… free parking… and great music. That describes the 2013 Culver City’s Boulevard Music Summer Festival.
Boulevard Music presents six free concerts on Thursday evenings at 7 pm from July 11 through August 15 in the palm-lined courtyard of Culver City City Hall.
Curated by producer Gary Mandell of Boulevard Music, Culver City’s Boulevard Music Summer Festival offers something for everyone: A capella Doo Wop from the Mighty Echoes and acoustic blues with Doug MacLeod (July 11); An eclectic mix of country, bluegrass, rock and jazz with Ryan Shupe & The RubberBand (July 18) R& B and Motown with Brenda Lee Eager (July 25); Hot country, rock and blues guitar with Albert Lee (Aug 1); Afro-Cuban/Salsa from Ricardo Lemvo and Makina Loca (Aug 8); and the premier Led Zeppelin tribute band Led Zepagain (Aug 15).
Parking is free underneath City Hall in the City Hall Garage, and dozens of dining options are available within walking distance.
Culver City’s downtown features a mix of historic buildings, boutiques, theaters, galleries, and unique restaurants opening onto tree-lined streets.
