CCMS Jogathon Brings in nearly $40,000
The unofficial numbers are in, and the Culver City Middle
School Jogathon raised $37,386.78.
Last year gross proceeds was $32,476 so the school bettered
last year's total by $4,910. There was a single family that donated
$3,000 this year and the event hit on what the kids like for
prizes - games, amusement parks, fun stuff, electronics, cash and candy.
"Nancy Shin's video is getting them, as well," said organizer Bonnie
Wacker. "And, Rochelle's great soliciting of prizes. And, our 'blue
T-shirt' is way more cool thanks Vincent! Thanks everyone for helping
us help our kids and school."
The best news is that the event had more kids participate than last
year. Forty-two more kids turned in forms this year, and the event
added 54 more students who raised $90 or more.
