Lakers, Clippers: Who’ll Rise At Playoff Time?

Sports Columnist

The Clippers have shown the world the power derived from unity and where it can lead when the spirit of acceptance, trust and beneficence takes hold. These qualities lend themselves to a breathtaking dynamic. That for me, is what is called being in the flow.

They are well on their way to the playoffs and the joy they emanate on the home court injects the global audience into their vortex. Interestingly, in the last few games away from home, we haven’t seen this flow. It looks like they have lost their mojo, and luminosity and the games.

This calls to mind a quote by Marianne Williamson: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate; our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.”

My dear Clippers, you are here to manifest glory. You deserve the championship and right now, you need to stand in your light and show us the unity, strength and flow you have mastered, not just at home, but wherever you play.

Across town, the Lakers loom large. They are learning the lesson of unity the hard way.

The unexpected injury of Kobe has required the other Lakers to rise to the occasion, stand and be counted.

They’ve got his back big time and in such a brilliant way showing themselves and the world what they are really capable of once their efforts are united.

A successful team beats with one heart. The heart of Los Angeles is beating hard and fast right now as our home teams vie for the playoffs.

May the odds be ever in your favor.
