Culver City High’s bid for a CIF championship in girl’s basketball ended Saturday in a 47-39 loss to Murrieta Valley at the Anaheim Arena.
Culver did receive an invitation to the state playoffs. But because of the CIF title game defeat the Centaurs were given a road game in the first round at Granada Hills of the LA City section.
The game was scheduled for Wednesday night but the result was unavailable at press time.
By defeating Culver in the CIF title game Murrieta Valley earned a home first round game.
