Barbershop Ristorante Moves To Culver
Barbershop, the successful pop-up restaurant by Chef Walter el Nagar (Michelin-starred La Botte) and partner Mario Vollera (Piccolo Venice), will relocate to Culver City on January 30.
The new location will be at La Petite Crêperie, 3809 Grand View Boulevard, and operate through February 16. La Petite Crêperie, which traditionally serves French-style breakfast, lunch, and weekend brunch will be transformed into Barbershop Ristorante Italiano starting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday evenings.
Keeping with his style of traditional culinary technique paired with molecular gastronomy, Chef el Nagar will be serving a five-course Italian menu, once again dictated by what is available at the Santa Monica Farmers Market and Downtown Los Angeles Fish Market that week.
Cost is $65 per person (exclusive of tax and gratuity) and will change weekly. The first week’s menu includes items such as:
Passeggiata al mercato
Chef’s vegetarian inspiration
Quattro ravioli ai formaggi
Four cheese ravioli
Tagliolino rosso oro
Red tagliolini with oyster, Meyer Lemon, bottarga and gold leaf
Cartoccio, al mare
DTLA Fish Market catch of the day, in a bag!
OR
Variazione de piccione al caffe, contorni di stagione
Squab three ways with coffee and SMFM weekly sides
Zabaione ghiacciato
Icy sabayon
