Culver City High Girls Volleyball will benefit from a car wash on Saturday Oct. 6 from 10 am to 4 pm in front of Culver City High School.
The suggested donation is $7 for one car or two cars for $12. There will be a plethora of snacks, treats, finger-foods, coffee, tea, water, etc. for waiting participants. There will also be about 40 parents helping with the activities.
Culver City High has three Girls Volleyball teams, Frosh/Soph, Junior Varsity, and Varsity, coached by Joe Manzo. There are approximately 40 girls on all of the girls VB teams and all will be at the car wash.
The proceeds from the car wash will help defray expenses for team uniforms, travel expenses, Coach's salary, as well as Tournament Entrance Fees and Scholarship awards.
There is a $200 voluntary contribution asked at the start of the VB year for all players. CCHS VB season starts in August and runs to approximately Thanksgiving. CIF, Regional, and California State championships usually are conducted after November.
Thus far this year the Varsity girls Volleyball team has traveled to 'neutral' tournaments in Simi Valley and Torrance, while building a 7-9 non conference record against some powerhouse southern California teams. Ocean League play opens now.
If you cannot make the car wash you may send your donation to CCHS Girls Volleyball, % Culver City High School, 4401 Elenda Street, Culver City, CA. 90230.
