July 10 through 16.

Attempt Car Burglary:

On July 10 at 9:50 am a victim called the police department to report unknown suspect(s) had attempted to burglarize his 2012 Chevy Camaro. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle in the area of Buckingham Parkway and Kensington Way at 9 am and when he returned at 9:40 am discovered his driver’s door lock had been tampered with.

Car Burglary:

On July 11 at 9 pm a victim came to the police department to report her 2006 BMW had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her car n the 9300 block of Jefferson Boulevard at 8:30 pm. When she returned a few minutes later she discovered her passenger window had been broken and her property missing.

Street Robbery:

On July 12 at 2:50 pm officers responded to the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was walking northbound when he was approached by two suspects. Suspect#1 grabbed his cell phone which was in his right hand. The suspect also told him he would shoot him if he didn’t give him the phone. The victim fearing for his safety gave the phone to the suspect. Both suspects then fled the area. The suspects were described as two male Blacks, 25-30 years of age, and 6-0.

Residential Burglary:

On July 13 at 12:40 pm officers responded to the 5900 block of Stone view Drive regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he locked and secured his residence at noon and returned at 3 pm. When he arrived he found his back door opened and his property missing.

Street Robbery:

On July 15 at 11:45 pm a victim came to the police department to report he was a victim of a robbery. The victim said he and a friend were near the intersection of Virginia Avenue and Jordon Way at 2 pm when they were approached by two suspects in a Black Nissan. Suspect #1 asked a question and then exited the vehicle. The suspect approached them and asked them for their property, fearing for their safety they gave them the property. Suspect #2 also got out of the vehicle and lifted his shirt to show he was carrying a handgun.

The suspects then fled the area. The suspects were described as one male Hispanic and a male white, suspect 1 was 19-20 years of age, brown eyes, and 5’7. Suspect 2 was 27-28 years of age, stocky build and blond hair.
