Fiesta La Ballona Gets A New Look

Fiesta La Ballona, Culver City’s free festival of rides, food vendors, performers, community events and bands, has launched a new branding campaign as “Culver City’s Party in the Park” to raise awareness for the annual event to be held August 24-26 at Veterans Park.

The festival, which began in 1951 as a week-long celebration of the region’s early settlers, will offer a little of something for each of the projected 20,000 guests from Culver City and neighboring communities.

“We think that when people see the word ‘party’ it grabs their attention and begs the questions: what kind of party, who’s having it and why? That’s exactly what we want people to ask because we think they’ll be excited when they find out all that the Fiesta will offer – at no cost,” says Steve Gumplo, Fiesta La Ballona’s Marketing Committee Chair.

The Fiesta, conducted by the Culver City Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department and dozens of volunteers, features live music, carnival rides and games, a beer and wine garden, vendors, arts and crafts and many family-oriented attractions for children and adults alike.

The Fiesta marketing committee created a new design by Beyond Direct Marketing, a local marketing agency specializing in marketing for nonprofits such as Habitat for Humanity and The Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
