The Culver City High football alumni defeated the varsity on Saturday in the annual game on Helm’s Field. An exact score was not kept.
Former Centaur quarterbacks Darius Banks and Lukas O’Conner directed the alumni.
“We had about 30 former players here and I appreciate their interest,” said Centaur coach Jahmal Wright. “Our players received good experience as they played against primarily college players.”
Banks, who excelled in two years at Fullerton College, is now at Central Washington, where he has two remaining years of eligibility.
O’Connor, the Centaurs’ quarterback last season, has gone East to Avon for a post-graduate course. He has received interest from Ivy League schools and is likely to resume his football career in a year.
Quarterback Xan Cuevas, Culver’s transfer from Mira Costa High, threw four touchdown passes.
