Commercial Burglary
On May 29 at 2:03 p.m. officers responded to the 8400 block of Warner Dr. regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the reporting party who told them on May 24 3:53 p.m. he locked and secured the location. When he returned on May 29 at 5:47 a.m. he discovered one of the office windows had been broken out. He also discovered property missing.
Street Robbery
On May 30 at 8:51 p.m. officers responded to the 10800 block of Venice Blvd. regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim, who told them she was at her vehicle about to retrieve an item when she saw a male subject approach her and asked her if she had any money. The suspect then pushed her away from her car, reached in and grabbed her purse. The suspect then fled the location. The suspect was described as a white male, 5’8-5’10, wearing a long sleeve shirt and pants.
Residential Burglary
On June 1 at 2:30 p.m. officers responded to the 4300 block of Elenda St. regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who said he left at 1:30 p.m. and returned home at 2:20 p.m. where he discovered a rear door open and his property missing.
Identity Theft
On June 1 at 2:30 p.m. a victim came to the police department to report that she was a victim of identity theft. The victim said she was checking the balance of her checking account and noticed several transactions that she did not make. She also notified her bank of the unauthorized transfers of her funds.
Vandalism
On June 3 at 1:05 a.m. officers responded to the 3800 block of Cardiff Ave. regarding a vandalism investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them he parked and locked his 2005 Volkswagen at 5:23 p.m. and when he returned at 12:30 a.m. he discovered the rear window had been shattered.
