Cope with Stress – Donate Shoes

Financial problems can hurt relationships and affect parenting. Attendees can learn to better cope with stress for themselves and loved ones on Tuesday at 7 pm at the same time as the monthly Park, Recreation & Community Services Commission Meeting in Culver City Council Chambers, 9770 Culver Blvd.

Featured guest speakers include MD Dr. Tolwin, a psychiatrist with over 30 years experience in helping patients cope with stress related symptoms. He is affiliated with the Brotman Medical Center.

Kathleen Lally-Arena, RN, MSN, FNP is a nurse for the Culver City Unified School District. She will discuss her experience in identifying the behavioral and physical signs of stress in young people. Harry Mitterbauer, B.S. NASM-PES, CES is an exercise physiologist who understands personal fitness and mental well being are common goals. He will discuss physical techniques to cope with stress.

Attendees can learn about healthy living and donate to a good cause at the same time. Bring your men’s, women’s and children’s lightly used shoes. All shoes go directly to the homeless and those in need.

Shoes for the Homeless, Inc. is a public benefit corporation that provides gently used and new shoes for the homeless and others in need.
