Residential Burglary:
On March 20 at 2:42 pm officers responded to the 3800 block of Sawtelle Boulevard regarding a burglary investigation. The officers spoke with the victim and he told them the following; he and his wife left for vacation and secured their residence. On March 20 the landlord discovered the bathroom window screen had been removed and the window had been pried open. The land lord checked the interior and discovered the unit had been ransacked.
Stolen Vehicle:
On March 21 at 9:55 pm officers responded to the 6300 block of Green Valley Circle regarding a stolen car investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; her dad parked and locked her 1993 Honda at 8:30 pm. When she returned to her car the next day at 9 pm the car was missing.
Forgery:
On March 21 at 6:30 pm a victim came to the police department to report she was a victim of forgery. The victim said she received a letter from her bank telling her that an unknown suspect cashed one of her personal checks. The victim said she did not write any checks to the name on her check.
Car Burglary:
On March 22 at 3:55 pm officers responded to the 3800 block of Culver Center Street regarding a car burglary. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he said he parked and locked his 2002 Chevy at 5:40 am. When he returned at 2:30 pm he discovered his property missing.
Commercial Robbery:
On March 25 at 8:10 pm officers responded to the 4200 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she was working behind the counter of the business when she was approached by the suspect, who produced a handgun and demanded the money from her cash drawer. The victim gave him the money and the suspect fled the location. The suspect was described as a male Black, 5”10, 180- 200 lbs, 18-25 years of age and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
