City Tavern, located at 9739 Culver Blvd., will celebrate its first anniversary on Tuesday and has invited the Culver City Historical Society (CCHS) to be the beneficiary of the celebratory evening. City Tavern has pledged to give the CCHS a generous donation, and in addition after 7 pm, the CCHS will benefit from 10% of all dinner bills.
Ken Kaufman and Brian McKeaney, the Rush Street guys, created City Tavern a year ago as an old school tavern with distressed brick walls, reclaimed wood floors and walls, warm wood tables and chairs, and a communal cafeteria and bar through the main entry.
That’s old school until patrons see the menu with refined comfort food for lunch and dinner, 22 of the best California craft draft beers behind the bar, a boutique California specific wine program and hand-crafted cocktails. City Tavern is the first state approved establishment to offer a computerized draft beer system at three booths where patrons can pour their own beer at their table with the swipe of a credit card..
City Tavern is located directly across from City Hall. To make a dinner reservation call (310).838-9739.
For more information call the Society at (310) 253-6941 or inquire by e-mail at info@CulverCityHistoricalSociety.org. Also, visit the CCHS website at: www.culvercityhistoricalsociety.org for updates.
