Scott Malsin's campaign fundraiser on Saturday was a success. More than 100 supporters gathered at the Culver City Elk Lodge for a Rat Pack themed party to rub shoulders with Culver City leaders and contribute to the success of former City Councilman Malsin's election campaign.
Attendees were treated to live music by the AVPA Jazz Band, dinner, dancing, and extensive live and silent auctions. Jeff Cooper made his inaugural appearance as an auctioneer and guests included former Mayor Paul Jacobs and wife Joy, School Board Members Laura Chardiet and Kathy Paspalis, past President of the Culver City Democratic Club Gerry Sallus, and other City leaders and activists.
According to Campaign Manager Laura Stuart, "the 'Summit' was fun and extremely successful. It was a great party and exceeded our fundraising expectations."
Afterward, Scott Malsin stated, "I continue to be inspired by the depth of support this campaign is receiving. It confirms that residents of Culver City want their elected leaders to have practical experience dealing with the critical issues facing our community."
