September 28 through October 11

Residential Robbery:

On September 28, 2011 at 11:15 pm, officers responded to the 11400 block of Diller Avenue regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was getting ready for bed when he noticed a suspect standing in the hallway of his home. The suspect was described as a male black, 5’9 to 6’0, 30-40 years old and facial hair. The suspect then demanded his money, the victim who was in fear for his safety gave the suspect his money and the suspect fled the location.

Street Robbery:

On September 29, 2011 at 11:30 pm, officers responded to the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he and a friend were walking to his vehicle when they noticed a vehicle driving by them and the passenger jumped out the vehicle and approached him and demanded his property. The suspect then got back into the vehicle and fled the location.

Commercial Burglary:

On September 30, 2011 at 11:00 am, officers responded to the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he secured the business on September 29th at 9:30 pm and when he returned the next morning at 9:30 am discovered the storage room door had pry marks on the door. He then discovered property was missing.

Residential Burglary:

On October 3, 2011 at 9:23 am, officers responded to the 4100 block of La Fayette Place regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he locked and secured his residence on September 29, 2011 at 12:30 pm. He returned at 4:00 pm and discovered his front door unlocked and when entered his residence discovered his property missing.

Car Burglary:

On October 4, 2011 at 12:45 pm, a victim called the police department to report his vehicle had been burglarized. The victim said he parked and locked his 1997 Honda near the intersection of Arizona Ave. and Elenda Ave at 12:00 pm. He returned at 12:30 pm and discovered his property in his vehicle was missing.

Car Burglary:

On October 4 at 12:45 pm a victim called the police department to report his 1997 Honda was burglarized. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle near the intersection of Arizona Avenue and Elenda Avenue at 12 pm and when he returned at 12:30 he discovered his property missing from the interior.

Stolen Vehicle:

On October 5 at 3:25 pm officers responded to the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a GTA investigation. The officers arrived and met with the victim who told them the following; she parked and locked her 1989 Chevy truck at 3:10 pm and when she returned at 3:20 discovered her vehicle was missing.

Strong Arm Robbery:

On October 6 at 3:57 pm officers responded to the 13400 block of Washington Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she was returning to her office after talking the trash out and she noticed suspect 1, described as a male white, 25-30 years, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt standing next to counter. The victim asked if he needed help and the suspect pushed her back and grabbed some merchandize from the counter and fled the location.

Vandalism:

On October 9 at 3:15 pm officers patrolling in the area of Commonwealth and Washington Boulevard saw a 2006 Mini Cooper with a broken out driver’s side window. The officers stopped to investigate and also located the owner of the vehicle. He told then he had parked and locked his vehicle at 3 pm and his window was not broken out. The victim said nothing was missing.

Armed Robbery:

On October 9 at 9:30 pm officers responded to the intersection of Lucerne Avenue and Ince Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; She was walking to her car when she noticed suspect 1, described as a male black, in his 20’s, thin build, short hair, and wearing a dark colored long sleeve shirt pacing near her vehicle. She opened the car door and the suspect walked up to her and produced a hand gun and demanded her property. Fearing for her safety she gave the suspect her property. The suspect then fled to a vehicle and left the scene.
