Lauryn Brink has been selected by the West Los Angeles College Athletic Department, as the female Scholar-Athlete of the month, for September.
She is a 2009 graduate of Culver City High and currently a sophomore student-athlete and a Team Captain of the Wildcat Women’s Volleyball team.
Brink is regarded as a hard working, dedicated team leader, and defensive specialist who has earned the respect of her teammates and coaches with her inspirational play.
In her spare time, Lauryn is a volunteer at the CLARE Foundation, a local Alcohol and Drug treatment center. She loves to dance and is an outstanding student who has earned an impressive 3.22 GPA at West, and is planning to major in Abnormal Psychology after transferring to a four year university.
She’s a member of the academic honors society, Alpha Gamma Sigma, where she serves as Secretary of the organization. Lauryn is on track to graduate at mid-year, but plans to come back to West for additional classes in the spring semester, before transitioning to a four year university.
