Former Mayor Albert Vera Dies

Former Mayor Albert Vera died this morning at his home in Culver City of a reported heart attack. The Culver City Fire Department confirmed that they responded to the Vera home in Sunkist Park this morning around 8 am. They did not transport Vera and the matter was turned over to the Culver City Police Department.

Vera, who was at home caring for his ailing wife Ursula, died at his home according to Observer sources.
