Los Angeles County Begins Mailing Vote by Mail Ballots

2024 General Election

Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean C. Logan announced the mailing of Vote by Mail (VBM) ballots to all registered voters for the November 5, 2024 General Election. Voters can track their ballots every step of the way with the Where's My Ballot? tool – a free subscription that sends automatic notifications by text, email, or voicemail about the ballot status. There are multiple easy return options available: • Return by mail, no postage required • Use one of 400+ Ballot Drop Box locations across Los Angeles County • Drop off at a local Vote Center beginning October 26 This election has a long ballot with many contests and candidates. Voters should review the instructions carefully and remember to sign and date the Return Envelope before submitting their ballot. Eligible voters who are not registered and want to vote by mail must register to vote by October 21, 2024 to be mailed a ballot. Due to distinct printing and production processes and legal timelines, some voter may receive their Vote by Mail ballots prior to receiving the Sample Ballot. Online access to voting materials will be available Sunday, October 6, 2024, to all voters at LAVOTE.GOV/ISB. The RR/CC provides translated election materials in 18 different languages. Voters can request to receive their materials in their preferred language by returning the Language Request Form on the back of the Sample Ballot Book, or by calling (800) 815-2666, option 3.
