The public will have an opportunity to provide critical input into the
city's first-ever bicycle and pedestrian plan. The plan aims to improve
biking and walking in Culver City.
The upcoming workshop will discuss the design of the proposed bicycle and
pedestrian loop between the new Expo Line and downtown Culver City. The
workshop will take place Saturday in the Garden Room of
Veteran's Memorial Auditorium, 4117 Overland Ave.
The free workshop will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m, and will include fun
exercises in an interactive, open-house format.
Both bicycle and car parking is available and free. For infomation on Culver
City Bus routes visit: http://culvercity.org/bus/bus.asp.
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Initiative is being funded by LA County
Department of Public Health's PLACE (Policies for Living, Active Communities
and Environments) Grant Program. The City is working with Alta Planning and
Design and LA County Bicycle Coalition on this initiative
