    Should we support union endorsements? Is anyone surprised by the candidates the Culver City Federation of Teachers and the Assn. of Classified Employees are supporting? True to form the CCUSD unions once again back the newest candidates who know the least about the district finances and operations. We already knew Karlo would be a favorite (he and Nancy cannot vote NO on anything the Union supports).     David LaRose Superintendent Culver City Unified School District Dear David, Thank you for your attention at the meeting we had the other day regarding the Natatorium. I was very glad to hear that the bird poop and garbage debris will be cleaned up in the Culver City school swimming pool Natatorium sometime this summer. I have talked to a number of people after our meeting and there appears to be wide support among the community to get a chance to see the inside of the natatorium.     Commentary Watch Out For Tax Scams By Neil Rubinstein Observer Columnist From the "Let's Gouge the Taxpayers" file . . . Maryland is taxing homeowners approximately $100 per year because their roofs, driveways and all other structures don't allow rainwater to naturally soak into the ground.     Honoring Albert and Ursula Vera The city is currently developing plans to rename Bush Way next door to Sorrento Market to honor the memory of Albert and Ursula Vera. Prior plans to name the Culver City Senior Citizens Center after the Veras appears to have been scuttled. This is a nice start but does not begin to honor them in a way that fully represents all they did for Culver City, and humanity. Ursula was not a political figure.
