On Wednesday, August 28, at 1:14 pm, Culver City Police responded to the report of a stabbing victim walking near Helms Avenue and Jacob Street. Officers contacted the reporting party, who stated that they had seen a man bleeding; the man told the reporting party that he had been stabbed and then walked away from the area. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a residential fire in the Mar Vista Neighborhood in the 3700 block of South Sawtelle Boulevard. The Culver City Fire Department assisted the LAFD.
