Bill McGovern, a highly decorated college football player and successful defensive football coach possessing almost 40 years of college and NFL experience, passed away Tuesday morning at his California home surrounded by family, following a battle with cancer. Howard Mitchell, a former long-time Culver City resident, passed away at his Palm Desert, CA home on April 23, 2023. He was 93. Mitch, as he was known to almost everyone, was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Charline, in 2007.
