Culver Volleyball Club finished its eight-month season with strong showings among 500 teams in the annual Summer Soiree Volleyball Tournament in Anaheim. The top ranked 16-year olds took second place, the fourth seeded 18-year olds finished fourth and the seven-seeded 14-year olds placed ninth in the four-day event during the Independence Day holiday. The Culver City High Centaurs continued their dominance in the passing tournaments in Southern California this past weekend when they blew through most of the competition in the Santa Fe “7 on 7” Tournament on Saturday, July 8. The tournament began with more than 20 teams and the first four games determined the team seeds for the later rounds.
